The official MIKU WITH YOU 2019 album, ็ผค็บทไธ็ / Bฤซnfฤn Shรฌjiรจ (Colorful World) – previously only sold in hard copy form at the concert venues – is now available in digital form online through NetEase Music for only ๏ฟฅ5 RMB!
Hello everyone, Tanudama here! We at Vocasphere were excited to hear about the newest Vocaloid-centered mobile app “Mikulogi”… and so most of us decided to invest in playing it! I’d like to present you with a full overview of the game, with help from our lovely editor (who is way better at this game than me, annoyingly enough).
The app does cost money to download initially, but after that there are no in-game purchases. Until March 31st 2020 there is also a 50%-off commemorative sale, making it ยฅ120 ($1 USD / ยฃ0.90 GBP) instead of ยฅ240 ($1.80 USD / ยฃ1.80 GBP).
Right, let’s begin!
The start page, with a super cute animated pixel-Miku!
The music is rather pleasant when you enter the game, and if you check the “credits” button on the start page, you’ll see that it was created by the producer SuketchP (ใใใฃใกP) and it’s called “Last Summer Memories”. The game only uses a fragment of the full song, so I’d definitely recommend listening to the original if you can. There are brief instructions to help you, but I found them pretty confusing, and was raging for a full 10 or so minutes before I figured out how the game works. You can check the instructions by clicking on the small [?] icon in the top right corner.
In the first box, it says that you need to fill in the grid using the hints (numbers) above each column and to the left of each row. I didn’t realise that when there is a gap between the numbers (e.g. “1 1”), it doesn’t mean eleven, it means there needs to be at least one “X” (blank) space between the first coloured box (1) and the second one (1), making “1 [space(s)] 1”.
The aim is to fill in the correct boxes without making any mistakes. As our lovely editor said, “it’s kinda like sudoku”.
By clicking on the cog icon, you get the game settings:
As you can imagine, the top button allows you to make the background music louder or quieter, or turn it off all together. The second one allows you to do the same with the sound effects. The “operation” buttons change the way you play, so if you click the button with the hand, you’re able to slide-select lines of blocks to colour. The grid button to the left of it means that you can choose individual squares more precisely, to avoid choosing the wrong ones. And lastly you can turn the vibrations on or off. By clicking on the “Miku Navi” banner, you’ll be redirected to your app store, where you can download the Miku Navi app – an app which has the lastest news from all of Crypton Future Media’s Vocaloid projects!
Beginning to play
When you enter the game, you’ll see this screen. The first four buttons show the four difficulties: level one has puzzles with images made up of 25 squares altogether, level 2 has 100 per puzzle, and level 3 has 225 (I’ll get onto explaining the joys of the “special levels” later).
Level 1: Stages 1 to 25
Level 1 and 2 have 25 stages each, while level 3 has a whopping 100 stages to clear. Even as I write this, I look at all of those future levels in dismay.
I’ll use Level 1 – Stage 1 as an example for how to play!
As you can see, there are numbers on the screen, which indicate how many squares need to be coloured. Make sure that you keep both horizontal and vertical lines in mind, since the puzzles can only be completed in one way (from what I’m aware).
Use the pen tool to colour squares (marks made with this tool can’t be erased), and use the grey “X” tool next to it to plot “X” marks around the puzzle where you think there definitely can’t be a coloured square. This second tool is really handy because it helps you narrow down where the coloured boxes will be. If you’re stuck, you can press the orange hints button on the bottom which fills in some squares for you (you can use this button up to 3 times per puzzle). However, if you use any hints, you won’t be able to get all three stars on that stage.
I’d recommend colouring any rows or columns which are definitely full. For example, because this grid is 5 x 5, if you see the number 5, just go ahead and fill in the whole column (see above).
If you complete a row or column successfully, the row/column will be locked in, and you can’t change it. Blank “X” marks are also filled in automatically once you colour the boxes correctly. If you make a mistake, it will be marked with a dark pink “X” mark. Your own plotted “X” marks can be removed by tapping them after they’ve been plotted, if you think you put it in the wrong place.
Once the puzzle is finished, you see a fully coloured rendition of what you made!
You can collect stars for each stage too. You get one just for clearing the stage, one for not using any hints, and a final one for not making any mistakes (mistakes being shown by those dark pink “X” marks).
You can also share your achievement via social media (the round turquoise icon), and then convey your incredulity as to HOW this is supposed to be a bottle to your friends:
…Or you can just press the pink arrow button to return to the stage selection page. Once you’ve completed a puzzle, you get an illustration in the “gallery” section.
There are so many illustrations! You might even recognise some of them~โ
Okay so now comes the most interesting part! Clicking on the “Special” level button will bring you to a page with 4 grey squares (stages). Clicking on one of these will bring you to… more stages WITHIN the stage.
As you can see, each stage (from one to four) in the “Special” category is made up of lots of smaller stages!
Complete all the sub-stages to get the final pixel image!
I’ll say that if you like doing puzzle games, this sort of app is definitely up your alley. The music can get a bit annoying after a while, especially since you can’t change it, and the overall concept of the game makes it pretty repetitive, since you’re doing the same thing continuously. It’s a nice app to have when you need to kill a bit of time, and it even works with no internet, so you can play it anywhere (although without internet, you can’t use the “share your achievements on social media” feature). It’s sad that they don’t give credit to the artists who created each illustration, but it’s also not terribly expensive, so if you’ve got a bit of money spare, I’d definitely suggest giving it a try!
Bottom left: art by KEI, used as the original illustration Hatsune Miku’s boxart.
Botrom right: art by iXima, used as the illustration for Kagamine Rin and Len V4x boxart.
That’s everything about the app “Mikulogi”! If you play it, I hope that you won’t get quite as angry as I do everytime I mess up! The game is now available on both Android and iOS supported devices, so check the bottom of the article for links to go and buy them!

At 4:05 PM (JST) on March 11, 2020, the official Niconico Chokaigi Twitter account tweeted some bad – but not entirely unexpected – news to would-be attendees:
— ใใณใใณใใใ่ถ ไผ่ญฐ2020@4ๆ12ๆฅ๏ฝ4ๆ19ๆฅ (@chokaigi_PR) March 11, 2020
“Due to the spread of COVID-19 infection, we have decided to cancel Niconico Chokaigi 2020 to protect the safety of all attendees, performers, and related personnel.”
“Please see our official site for information on how to get refunds on ticket purchases and crowdfunding donations. chokaigi.jp“
However, the somber news was quickly followed by another major announcement:
— ใใณใใณใใใ่ถ ไผ่ญฐ2020@4ๆ12ๆฅ๏ฝ4ๆ19ๆฅ (@chokaigi_PR) March 11, 2020
“Niconico Net Chokaigi 2020 Confirmed!! This year, Niconico Chokaigi will be held online for 8 days from April 12 through 19!”
“We aim to turn it into Japan’s largest ever online festival, bringing together all of Chokaigi’s popular booths, online content, canceled concerts and more! Expect details to be announced by late March!#ใใใ่ถ ไผ่ญฐ2020“
While cancellation of the offline event will no doubt come as a blow to many who were planning on attending, the followup news is a major turn of events for fans outside Japan who can soon experience Chokaigi completely online!
See below for a list of VOCALOID-related events that were planned for Niconico Cho Kaigi 2020, and stay tuned for info on how they will be reproduced online for Niconico Net Chokaigi 2020!
Hosted by Saki Fujita and Ruriko Noguchi, and with Akina, Hinata Satou, and Daisuke Hirose appearing as guests, they recapped a bunch of information about the upcoming mobile rhythm and adventure game, and revealed new information as well! Here’s a summary of the new stuff!
Character Introduction
During the livestream, we got to see the character introduction video for Ichika Hoshino, which begins at 40:18 in the video. It gives us an even better idea of how the Live2D animation works with the characters to make them animate!
Is everyone enjoying themselves?I’m Ichika Hoshino, the guitarist and vocalist for Leo/need. Thank you for coming to watch our show.Um…That’s my best shot at an on-air greeting, but what else should an MC talk about…Oh, my hobbies?Hobbies, huh… I don’t really have any in particular…Ah, I do listen to Miku songs a lot. I really like them.
They promise that more introductions will be revealed on the official Project SEKAI Twitter account, so be sure to keep an eye on it!
Character Card Illustrations
The livestream revealed a few of illustrations for character cards that will be featured in the game, likely acquirable through gacha! Here’s what they show us starting at 47:37
Remember how we were “challenged” to guess the songs for the 3D music videos that would be revealed during the livestream?
The first three were easy given how they were partially revealed before. But the livestream still managed to surprise us with FIVE songs starting at 54:15! Here they are:
— ใใญใธใงใฏใใปใซใค ใซใฉใใซในใใผใธ๏ผ feat. ๅ้ณใใฏ (@pj_sekai) March 9, 2020
Speaking of 3D music videos, we were reminded that players can freely switch both the characters and the outfits that they wear when they appear in the music video!
— ใใญใธใงใฏใใปใซใค ใซใฉใใซในใใผใธ๏ผ feat. ๅ้ณใใฏ (@pj_sekai) March 9, 2020
2D Play Mode
We were then also reminded of the 2D play mode in which only a still image from the song’s PV will appear so that players can concentrate on the gameplay.
— ใใญใธใงใฏใใปใซใค ใซใฉใใซในใใผใธ๏ผ feat. ๅ้ณใใฏ (@pj_sekai) March 9, 2020
Two of the above songs haven’t been confirmed for 3D play with music videos, but even during the livestream, there were comments from fans asking that videos be made for them, prompting Hinata Satou to even address their concerns in her best English!
New Producers Onboard
So to recap, here are all the songs that have been confirmed for Project SEKAI as of today:
After the recap, some new VOCALOID producers who will be lending their talents to creating original songs for the game were announced. First, there’s Neru who will be making an original song for a Wonderlands x Showtime event! They even mention that the VOCALOID version of this song will be revealed in the coming days, so watch for it on the Project SEKAI Twitter account!
— ใใญใธใงใฏใใปใซใค ใซใฉใใซในใใผใธ๏ผ feat. ๅ้ณใใฏ (@pj_sekai) March 9, 2020
Here some commentary from the two famed producers:
DECO*27: “Let’s enjoy this sekai together!”
kemu: “Congratulations on starting this new project. I really love VOCALOID music, and music sung by humans. Bringing them together like this is something that I’m really excited to do.”
Leo/need Preview Video
Next, at 1:17:05 of the livestream, they reveal a full preview video for Leo/need!
Once again, more videos for the other music units will be revealed, so make sure to follow the official Project SEKAI Twitter account!
**UPDATE ON MARCH 16, 2020**
The PV is now available for standalone viewing on YouTube below!
Pre-registration to Begin in April
At last, to answer something that livestream commenters – both in Japanese and English alike – have been asking, it has been confirmed that Project SEKAI will begin pre-registration in the second half of April 2020!
— ใใญใธใงใฏใใปใซใค ใซใฉใใซในใใผใธ๏ผ feat. ๅ้ณใใฏ (@pj_sekai) March 9, 2020
While this is just pre-registration, we expect the full launch of the game to follow soon afterwards, so look forward to the formal announcement!
We’ll continue to keep fans up to date on Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku, so make sure to keep an eye on our website and social media as well!
Hello, Tanudama here! We hope that everyone has enjoyed Miku Day! Of course, mobile game “Mikucolle” has something for its players too so that we can continue to celebrate this important day… by trying our luck with gacha!
The opening screen is reasonably promising… (Art by Peta).
There is a short Miku Day event running from March 8th to March 12th, finishing just before the first half of the current “Miku and Kaito and the Smart- Puppets” event. During this time period, you’ll get 5 Mikucoins for logging in, which when added to the 3 Mikucoins from the current Mikufest event (running until March 16th), gives you 8 free Mikucoins a day when you log in!
Hatsune Miku-only gacha
The main attraction for this event is the Miku-only gachas available! There are three altogether, and they look like this:
As always, I’ll explain how each one works!
-With the first banner shown, we have a gacha which needs 100 Mikucoins for a 10+ 1 extra gacha pull. From one pull you’ll get at least SR cards, and you’re guaranteed at least one SSR+ from it. Plus, all cards gained from this come with rank and level maxed out already! The rate for SSR+ cards is pretty high in comparison to other gacha, so I can understand why it’s so expensive.
-The second Miku day gacha is a three way type, so there are three different options for playing it. The first button on the far left is a one pull only option, and it costs 3 Mikucoins. You can only do this one once a day though. The middle button is a one pull gacha too, but there’s no limit to how many times you can play it, and it costs 5 Mikucoins per pull. lastly is the third option, which gives you 10 cards plus one extra, so it’s the best value for money our of the three. You should get at least one SSR with this gacha, and it costs 50 Mikucoins per pull.
-And finally we have everyone’s favourite gacha: the free gacha! That means you’re able to do a full “10 cards + 1 extra” type of pull without paying anything. It’s a great way to add some sneaky rare cards to your collection without having to grind for Mikucoins or spend real money!
And here are the featured cards you’ll be trying to win:
ใๅบๅ๏ผๆญฃ็พฉใฎใใชใผในใฌใผใซใ/ “Move out! Police girl of justice” (Shuddou! Seigi no Poriisu Gaaru) – SSR+
Note: both of these packs can only be bought from the store once, and they are available until 12th March 2020.
Although there’s not a huge amount to do in this event, it’s definitely a very cute way to celebrate Miku no Hi (Miku Day). Good luck with the gacha if you try them!
SEGA in Japan announced Friday that the total downloads for ๅ้ณใใฏ Project DIVA MEGA39โs has reached more than 150,000 copies after 22 days since itโs release in Japan and Asia.
With this number, the game company also mentioned that there has been some shortages with physical copies but nevertheless, indicates a positive sales number!
On the PS4 side, the numbers for ๅ้ณใใฏ Project DIVA Future Tone and Future Tone DX, which are the download and physical versions of the game respectively, has reached 450,000 total worldwide shipments and downloads with the Future Sound and Colorful Tone DLC packs to date since its initial release in June 2016.
Additional Music Packs

Hello everyone, Tanudama here! And I’m here to excitedly present the freshly announced merchandise available at the Sakura Miku x Goodsmile x Animate Cafรฉ to you. If you’d like to know specific details about the collaboration, you can read the main article here.
Without further ado, let me unveil the merch…
In the first box at the top, we can see the “big acrylic stands” for ยฅ1,600 (about ยฃ12 GBP / $15 USD). They feature the art of from ่ณ้ใตใฏ, Naoto and ใใใใใใ (Sakura Shiori) respectively. They will be roughly 15cm x 12cm, so they are indeed reasonably big.
Second on the list of merch are the “trading can badges”. And we all know what that means… it means that you won’t be able to choose which one you want, since they’ll be blind bagged. For the badges, we have two of each Cryptonloid (12 badges altogether), with half of them based of the illustration by ็ซ้ญ /Neko Sakana, and the other half from that of ใคใใใพใใคใฟ / Tsurushima Tatsumi. Let’s hope that we’ll have good luck when us Vocasphere reporters go there ourselves! These are ยฅ400 each (about ยฃ3 GBP / $4 USD) and each badge is about 5.6cm in diameter.
Now in the top left corner, we have a Sakura Miku lunchbox! In delicate pastel pink and white, we have a practical item that can be used to rekindle your memories of this Sakura Miku cafรฉ collaboration. This costs ยฅ1,600 too, it’s about 20.5 x 9 x 6 cm in size, is made of polypropylene and has a motif of ็ฆใใคใญ (Fuku Kitsune)’s Miku illustration . As well as getting the lunchbox, you’ll also be gifted with one of six Sakura Miku- only trading can badges! Again, since they’re trading can badges, you won’t be able to choose which one you want exactly, but they’re all cute either way. To top it all off, you’ll also get a set of five prawn-flavoured senbei (rice crackers).
To the right of the lunchbox are the “acrylic portraits”, of which there are ones for every commissioned artist (่ณ้ใตใฏ, ็ถฟ / Men (Attaka Taoru Men), ใใใใใใ (Sakura Shiori), ็ฆใใคใญ (Fuku Kitsune), Naoto, ใคใใใพใใคใฟ / Tsurushima Tatsumi and ็ซ้ญ / Neko Sakana. They’re actually pretty big at A4 size, and they cost ยฅ700 per portrait (about ยฃ5 GBP / $7 USD).
In the bottom left corner, you an see the designs for the “uchiwa” fans, which are fans that people tend to use in the summer to keep cool. You can get one with either the illustration from ่ณ้ใตใฏ, ็ถฟ / Men or ็ฆใใคใญ (Fuku Kitsune). Like the portraits, these are ยฅ700 each, but they come in a size of 11.2 cm x 13.4 cm.
As our last item we have the acrylic drink stirrers! At the top they have small illustration of ็ซ้ญ / Neko Sakana’s Miku, Rin, Len, Luka, Meiko and Kaito, depending on which one you buy. Each one is about 17 cm in length, with the illustrated part being around 3.5 cm in diameter, and they’ll set you back by ยฅ800 per portrait (about ยฃ6 GBP / $8 USD).
(Note: all prices include tax!)
But there’s something else I’m particularly excited about… and it’s the new campaign the cafรฉ will have!
Okay… so here’s what you have to do to be in with the chance of winning one of ten Sakura Miku happi (a traditional japanese straight- sleeved coat, typically worn to festivals).
Take a photo of the menu, merchandise or store when you’re there.
Upload the photo to social media and show it to a member of staff in- store so that they can verify it.
Fill in the application form that they give you. Once you’ve filled out the details on the form, you can post it into their application forms box.
. Once the collaboration cafe is finished, the winners will be drawn by a lottery. There will be five winners from each store, making ten winners altogether.
(Note: you’ll need to fill in your details in japanese, and potentially have a japanese address to use so that they can send you the prize if you win).
I think that that’s just about everything we need to know about the collabo cafรฉ before it opens in March! For more information about the design competition that they held for the menu items, feel free to read about it here, and to see what the menu items will look like in real life, you can read our overview here!
We hope that everyone who manages to go there has an amazing time, and we’ll make sure to gather as many photos as possible when we go ourselves!
Miku Day (March 9) 2020 is almost upon us, so you can bet that many merchandise makers will announce brand new Hatsune Miku goods to celebrate (and take advantage of Miku fever)!! Check out what MOEYU has revealed today!
Hello everyone! Today I have something for Mikucolle players to feast their eyes upon – the new event, “Miku and Kaito and the Smart- Puppets” (ใใฏใจKAITOใจๆฉๅทงใฎไบบๅฝข). I’m certainly excited to show you what’s going on, so let’s dive into the magical steampunk-ish world of the new event.
First up, we can get a generous 3 Mikucoins JUST for logging in every day! And considering I couldn’t join in the Len gacha that was around recently, I know I’m pretty broke of Mikucoins right about now, so this is definitely handy. This will be happening from March 3rd to March 16th… so that’s 39 Mikucoins altogether if you log in every day!
So now onto the event info!
This is the first part of the event, and for it you’ll need to make your way through all of the levels and stages, beating the baddies! Each time you clear a new level, you get a Mikucoin too! When you start the event quest, you’ll be met with a set of dialogue between Kaito and Miku (for the first set of translations, feel free to check out the end of this article!)
For this event, the enemies will all be water-type ones, so I’d advise creating a deck made entirely of leaf-type cards to combat them most effectively.
Participants in the event can get cool items!
While you’re playing the levels, you could be in with a chance of finding event-limited clothing items for your character! If you’re looking for a specific characters’ item, make sure to check the item-drop info before you launch into the game:
These items won’t necessarily drop automatically when you play a level- sometimes you’ll need to play a small cluster of levels multiple times just to get the specific items you want.
The last level is number 3 – 4, and if you complete all of the levels, you’ll not only get one of the titular “Smart-birds” as a magical item, but you’ll also be able to try the EX Boss Quest:
If you finish this quest, you’ll receive a cool telescope as an item too!
Left: Mechanical Bird (right hand item) Right: Antique Telescope (right hand item)
Rainbow Rush Gacha
-First we have a gacha with three options. The button furthest on the left is one pull only, and it costs 3 Mikucoins. You can do this one only once a day. The middle button is a one pull gacha too, but you can play it as many times per day as you want, andit costs 5 Mikucoins per pull. If you have a regular golden gacha ticket, you can use that for one pull in this gacha as well. On the far right we have the third option, which gives you 10 cards plus one extra –the best value gacha. You should get at least one SSR with this gacha, and it costs 50 Mikucoins.
-Second in the list is the free gacha. With this one, youโll be able to do the equivalent of a 10 + 1 pulls gacha without paying anything. This gacha will disappear from the page once used, leaving the other four event gacha behind. It’s really handy to get a good selection of high level cards, actually.
-For our third gacha, youโll need to use special gacha tickets instead of Mikucoins. You only get one pull, but thereโs a high probability for SSR+cards. You’ll find out how to get these tickets in a little while.
-The last event-exclusive gacha requires tickets too, but instead, you should get no less than an SSR with your single pull if you try it.
Cards available in-gacha
“But what cards are we specifically aiming to get with these new gacha”, you may be wondering. Well, allow me to show you!
Skill: “Let’s pass the time with Winter’s heartbeat!”.
If you add these cards to your deck during this event (especially as the leader card), you’ll get a boost of power!
New Mikufest packs available
You’re possibly still wondering how to get those gacha tickets I mentioned earlier. As always, if you need a bit of a hand with the game, there are packs that you can buy in the online store for real-life money!
Remember – all of the quests, gacha and packs mentioned in this article are only available until March 9th 2020at 13:59 JST, so you’d better join in ASAP!
Well, that’s definitely plenty to get our teeth into, and I’m sure that there will be even more exciting things in the second part of the event, coming up after March 9th!
Kaito: Okay, letโs go over the situation once more.
Miku: Sounds good to me. Do you want to start?
Kaito: The โSmart-Control Enginesโ in the centre of town have begun to malfunction
Miku: Indeed. The first ones to malfunction was with those โSmart Service Workersโ
Kaito: The so-called โWaiter-robotsโ?
Miku: Mhm. So-called indeedโฆ Can you believe it? Instead of Tea, they serve oil!
Kaito: Hot oil?
Miku: Yeah, all it would need is a lemon slice in it and itโd taste perfectโฆ For goodness sake, Kaito, come on, this is hardly a laughing matter!
Kaito: Next to malfunction were the mechanisms in automatic vehicles
Miku: I wonder what it would be like to drive in a car that canโt even go in a straight line? And this time, there have been problems with the โAutomatic Music Orchestraโ.
Kaito: An off-key orchestra sounds somewhat unfortunate, doesnโt it?
Miku: Of course itโs unfortunate!!
Kaito: Ooh, sheโs angryโฆ
Miku: And of course, Iโm angry.
Ornith [appears]: *Skree-hee-hee-chirrrrp*
Kaito: Ah, welcome back Ornith (a โSmart- birdโ). Whatโs the situation in town like?
Miku: Wait a sec, Iโm just going to read Ornithโs data log nowโฆ
Ornith: *cheep*?
Miku: Mhm, unfortunate indeedโฆ
Kaito: Ornith, what is it?
Miku: It said that they couldnโt find anything suspicious.
Miku: Ornith discovered the sensor module which is directly connected to the central analytical engineโฆfrom what I can understand.
Miku: The thing that Ornith couldnโt identify is something which appears to have โawokenโ in the town center, and it wasnโt even picked up by the security system.
Kaito: I donโt really get it, but in short, this is a bad situation, right?
Miku: In short, this is a terrible situation! And I have no idea where we should start with investigating this.
Kaito: So thereโs even something that even the townโs No.1 genius engineer doesnโt understand!
Miku: Well, thereโs no data on this!
Kaito: But these โSmart-โ things running rampant arenโt going to wait for us to figure this out!
Miku: The disturbance is only spreading furtherโฆ
Kaito: If we canโt manage to stop this chaos, then the situation will just get worse and worse.
Miku: Even if we use underhanded methods, I guess we have no choice but to bring those malfunctioning machines under control.
Kaito: But how do we do it?
Miku: In your case, Kaito, how do you fix a broken difference engine?
Kaito: Well, you start off by trying to hit it.
Miku: Yes, YES! Absolutely! (music note) Weโll start off by whacking them one by one!
