It has been a while since we have last heard from Okhotsk Ambassador of Tourism Yuzuki Yukari. But today, we got to see what she and Project R.Y.U.H.Y.O. have been up to!
The 2019 issue (issue #15) of the Society for Tourism Informatics now features Okhotsk Yukari herself on the front cover! This issue has a special feature called Regional Tourism and DMO (地域観光とDMO) where they talk about their new collaboration request to VOCALOMAKETS and Okhotsk Yukari, which made this feature and cover possible.
While past issues of the magazine could be sold to non-members of the Society for Tourism Informatics for ￥3,500 JPY, this special feature will be printed separately as it own publication for ￥1,500.

Fans of Yuzuki Yukari and her voice provider, Chihiro Ishiguro, were greeted with a very surprising announcement in the past day about the famed voice actress’s career. It all started with a letter that she penned to all her fans.
In the letter, she announced that as of June 30, 2019, she has parted ways with her talent agency, Office Anemone, and would now pursue personal interests under her own newly formed company “Chihilab!” The decision came from the realization that next year will be the tenth year since she began her career as a voice actress, and she has since looked back to learn that she found greater fulfillment through making her Let’s-Play video series, and through her activities with Yukari.
Thus, she expressed these sentiments to the president of Office Anemone, who was greatly supportive of her decision. Carrying with her all that she has learned under their wing, Ishiguro has now established Chihilab!, where she will be taking on new challenges like VOCALOID song-writing, video creation, event-planning, and much more that she and her fans can enjoy together. In the closing remarks of her letter, she asks that her fans continue to support her in her new life journey

If you read our day 1 overview of the Kono Koe Todoke, Tsuki Made Mo 5 (hereafter “Koetsuki 5”) doujin event from May, and were left wishing that you could watch the new “Kagayake! Yukarin Star Festival” drama show, then you’re in luck! The event organizers have now uploaded the show in its entirety online for all to watch and enjoy!

The show tells the story of how Kizuna Akari struggles to write a new song and attend to titular festival in order to impress her idol, Yuzuki Yukari, and make a name for herself in the process. The show is 100% fanmade, so none of the character personalities are official. Of course, the fact that it’s completely fanmade makes it all the more impressive that an entire drama show, pooling together an all VOCALOID and VOICEROID cast with their animations and spoken lines created without official assistance, could be made like this!

World Baked Cheesecake made a surprise announcement that on June 29, they will be holding a special event called the Tohoku Zunko Concert in Cheese Kitchen (東北ずん子音楽会inチーズキッチン)! There, they will be holding a concert and VOCALOID lectures, and of course serving some Tohoku Sisters food and drinks!

The May 20th issue of Game Lab Sansai featured none other than Haruno Sora on the back cover! The cover shows the box art for her official VOICEROID and VOCALOID products, as well as screenshots from “どんな言葉なら届きますか？/ Donna Kotoba Nara Todokimasu ka? (What Kind of Words Will Reach You?),” and many from “無限にホメてくれる桜乃そら先生 / Mugen ni Hometekureru Haruno Sora-sensei (Haruno Sora-sensei Will Praise You Endlessly)” that people could scan the QR code for to watch on YouTube or get LINE stickers for!
We even got to see the inside of the magazine, showing a published interview about the past 10 years of VOICEROID (a heavily condensed version, as the whole interview was actually 2 hours long according to the interviewee, Tomohide Ogata).
Though they didn’t have any screenshots shown during the livestream, they took the time to remind fans that the “Seyana! Akane-chan in action!” LINE stickers are now available for purchase, and you can get them here. See our previous report for details.
Less Kitayama‘s very own online radio series, The Noises, which has already broadcast 1,203 shows, will be holding its next public recording session on June 29th, 2019 at 1:00 PM (JST) at AKIBA COLORS. Those who would like to attend can find information on Enterjam (in Japanese)
There, Ogata himself will be a featured guest on the show, though we will have to wait until the show is aired online to find out more about what they will talk about. To give you an idea of what an episode of The Noises is like, check out its latest episode below.
Next, we learn about some new merch! Introducing the 2019 Yuzuki Yukari flap daypack! All over, you can see Yukari’s motto, rabbit mark, and abbreviated name (YZK YKR), making it distinctly hers! It will soon be up for pre-order on the AHS Store for ￥10,000 JPY starting on June 4 at 4:00 PM (JST) until June 19.
In more Yukari merch, they revealed the 2019 Yuzuki Yukari collapsible container, and the new Kizuna Akari collapsible container during the livestream as well!
No release or pre-order date have been decided yet, but we will keep a lookout for them once they are announced!
