Hatsune Miku Project DIVA MegaMix T-shirt Design Contest Winners Announced

As we draw closer to the expected release of Hatsune Miku Project DIVA MegaMix on the Nintendo Switch, SEGA has announced the winners of their T-shirt Design Contest!

The contest first opened in November 2019 where the t-shirt designs for Project DIVA game were submitted until December 20, 2019. While the official contest page had mentioned that the winners would be announced by January 13, 2020; there has been a significant delay as the winning designs came out just before the end of this month.

The following are the chosen designs by SEGA which will be implemented in the game as the part of the T-shirt custom outfits! It’s worth noting that among the winners is a MEIKO-inspired design!

Game Release

Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Mega Mix is releasing this year to the West exclusively on the Nintendo Switch, as a first for the SEGA rhythm game series and a departure from the PlayStation. The release date has not been announced yet as of writing.

Meanwhile, SEGA in Japan has also released another gaming preview footage for the Japanese version of the game, 初音ミク Project DIVA MEGA39’s featuring Magnet by minato, Dreamin Chuchu by emon(Tes.), and Luka Luka★Night Fever by samfree (in time for Luka’s 11th anniversary!) with a release date already set for February 13, 2020!

Hatsune Miku – Tap Wonder Announced, BGM and Pet Design Contest Underway

A brand new Hatsune Miku mobile game called Hatsune Miku – Tap Wonder is making its debut! You can find it’s official site here (Japanese) and here (English)!

Miku artwork for the game was illustrated by おぐち / Oguchi.

However, before they can officially launch, they need YOUR help. Right now, piapro has announced a BGM and pet design contest! Winning entrants will have the chance to hear their music and/or see their design used for Miku’s support pet in the game!

Theme: A pet who cat help Miku fire up the world stage!

Snow Miku 2020 x Nurimasu Coloring Competition Announced!

The Snow Miku festivities will soon be in full swing, and that means it’s time for what now seems to be an annual occurrence: the 11th Snow Miku Nurimasu Coloring Contest! We covered the event last year on our Facebook page but now we have a blog for much easier reading!

The Basics

The idea of the contest is very simple: Download the lineart of one of three Snow Miku 2020 illustrations and color it however you’d like in order to enter for prizes. This year, MACCO, はねこと / Hanekoto, and ピスケ/Pisuke are the featured artists!

The lineart comes in two different versions for each piece: a thumbnail version focusing more on Miku’s face, and a full body version that focuses on, well, a full body!

How To Enter

Step One

Download the lineart from the official contest website. If you’re using a computer, you should be able to open the lineart file without any problems in whatever software you use. If you’re using a phone or tablet, you may have to request for your device to open the image directly to avoid it being completely black.

Step Two

Color the lineart however you’d like with whatever program you want to use! The contest website does offer some free trials of software to get you started.

Step Three

Upload your work to Twitter with the hashtag #第十一回塗りマス before January 28, 23:59 JST. Be sure to include the hashtag or your entry won’t be counted!

Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Mega 39’s x 17 Live Collaboration Event

SEGA has announced a collaboration contest event with the video streaming mobile app, 17 Live (“Ichinana Live”)!

About the Contest

The announcement was made through a dance video for Catch the Wave that was uploaded on the official SEGA feat. HATSUNE MIKU Project YouTube channel:

17 Livers (users of the app) who enter the contest will be challenged to submit videos of themselves dancing the Catch the Wave dance. During the “Supporter Challenge” phase, audience vote will then determine who the top five 17 Livers are in the “special supporter” and “game distribution” categories, and those top 17 Livers will receive the following prizes:

Special Supporter Prizes

2nd ~ 5th place:
– A Nintendo Switch
– A copy of Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Mega 39’s
– The chance to participate in a special supporter audition through which they can win the opportunity to perform during a promotional Project DIVA Mega 39’s release livestream on DENGEKI ONLINE

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix is coming to the Nintendo Switch in the West sometime in 2020! To celebrate, SEGA is now holding a T-shirt design contest, and winners will have the chance to see their design featured in the game!

How to Enter

All details are taken from the official contest page:

  1. Download the T-shirt design template.
  2. Design a special T-shirt for Miku and friends!
    Official characters recognized by Crypton: Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, KAITO & MEIKO.
  3. Use the form to submit your design by November 18, 2019.
  4. Five Winners will be contacted by email on or about December 2, 2019.
