Other Notable Mentions

While there’s not a whole lot of information on other figures shown at WonFes (or in other cases we’ve already seen the final product before the event), here are some other figures and products we can’t pass up sharing!

New Taito Lottery Features Sakura Miku Prizes!

Starting in April 2020, Taito will host a lottery very fitting for the season! Each prize in this lotto will be Sakura Miku themed. Fans of this flowery Miku should keep an eye out on reselling websites if they can’t get to Japan for the event.

The Prizes

A Prize: ~Jump Ver~ Figure

This figure is based on an illustration by やすも/Yasumo and is one of three figure prizes available.

B Prize: ~Cherry Blossoms~ Ver. Figure

The B prize for this lottery is another Sakura Miku figure! This one is based on an illustration by かも仮面.

C Prize: Acrylic Stands

The C prize is one of three 16 cm tall acrylic stands featuring Sakura Miku illustrations by かも仮面, U35, and iXima. The one you’ll get will likely be chosen randomly via blind bag like in many lotteries.

D Prize: Posters

Most likely, the poster you receive will be randomly chosen. But with so many different ones, at least there’s less chance of repeats even if you get multiple D level prizes!

The posters feature the following artists:
やすも/Yasumo
かも仮面
青紅
NOCO
タイキ
桜木蓮
つるしまたつみ
くろでこ
もっこ
鉄人桃子

Last Prize: ~Jump Pastel Ver.~ Figure

And for anyone lucky enough to get the very last lottery ticket from any location, there’s a special “Last Prize” just for them! This is a one-per-location variant of the ~Jump Ver.~ figure. Instead of its regular colors, it’s a special pastel variant with a closed eye smiling face instead of the original’s open-eyed one.

More Photos

Taito even uploaded a few scenic photos of the prize figures to show what kind of beautiful photography can be done with them!

Summer WonFes 2019 Product Round Up!

The Summer round of WonFes 2019 was in full swing last night if you’re in the western hemisphere and this morning if you’re farther east. We saw lots of VOCALOID related figures, although many we already knew about. There were also some previously announced figures possibly missing from the line up.

Unfortunately, a typhoon did dampen the excitement of WonFes and soaked many WonFes goers. So Twitter wasn’t as full of pictures from WonFes attendees as usual. But this is what we found from following Twitter throughout the event!

Miku Figures

Miku took up a good chunk of the VOCALOID related figures this time around. Surprisingly, there weren’t any new Nendoroids on display. But we did get to see progress on several scales as well as some new scale figure announcements and a new prize figure!

Hatsune Miku Scales

1/7 Scale Hatsune Miku Snow Princess Ver.

At Winter WonFes 2019, this 1/7 scale Snow Miku figure was announced. And now we have a painted prototype! There’s currently no news on a release date or pricing but we should have that information very soon.

1/8 Scale Racing Miku 2019 Ver.

Also announced at Winter WonFes 2019 was the Racing Miku 2019 scale! She’s now a fully painted prototype. Unfortunately, there’s no news on her release date or price either.

And the last scale figure to be teased in the Winter and see some progress in the Summer is the 1/7 scale Racing Miku 2013 Rd. 4 SUGO Support Ver. figure by Aquamarine. Both the Racing Miku 2019 Thailand Ver. and Racing Miku 2018 scale figures do not have prototypes yet as confirmed by booth photos.

These Miku figures were previously announced but haven’t seen any progress since the last event they were featured in.

This figure is a bit of an odd one as the colored prototype was previously revealed at Shanghai WonFes. However it’s not the only one to not make an appearance at Summer WonFes 2019. Luo Tianyi Lemon Ver. was also missing.

1/8 Scale BLACK ROCK SHOOTER: inexhaustible Ver.

Many fans were worried this figure may have been cancelled after not making an appearance at Winter WonFes 2019. Thankfully it’s still in production and even has a prototype now! We even have a video with a view from several angles.

Where’s Tianyi?

Source: GSC Weibo

The colored version of the much anticipated Luo Tianyi Yellow Version scale also first appeared at Shanghai WonFes earlier this year. Unfortunately, she didn’t seem to show up at Summer WonFes 2019. Hopefully this doesn’t mean a limited release to only China.

No HaiYi?

Another surprise was no update on the HaiYi figure previously teased by Quadimension. With the teasers coming so close to WonFes, many fans thought that the company would surely reveal the figure during the event. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. Hopefully we’ll see the figure soon!

That’s All For Now

Stay tuned to VocaSphere for more updates! Summer WonFes may have ended but there’s always more figure news as well as other vocal synth news and events! Be sure to keep an eye on our website, Facebook, and Twitter for updates.

Hatsune Miku Figure Original Summer Ver. ~Renewal~

Taito Prize has announced the Hatsune Miku Figure Original Summer Ver. ~Renewal~ figure for release early this month.

The figure is a recoloring of the original summer ver. figure, based on an illustration of Miku by さいとうなおき / Naoki Saito.

Three versions will soon be available. The normal version will be available at all locations that will be carrying the figure, while the limited version – showing her winking and with yet another alternate color scheme – will only be available at select locations. See here for a full list of locations that will carry the limited version. Finally, there’s the Taito Online Crane Game version that shows her with both eyes closed, and will only be available by playing the crane game.

All pictures and information come from the official site for the Hatsune Miku Figure Original Summer Ver. ~Renewal~. Look forward to information on her release date!

WonFes Shanghai Figure Round Up

Once upon a time, there used to be two WonFes that caught the attention of many: Winter WonFes and Summer WonFes. Now there’s so many figure shows that our wallets are constantly on the defense. And with VOCALOID growing even more popular in China, WonFes Shanghai is now another event for fans to keep an eye on.

Here are all the VOCALOID figures announced at WonFes Shanghai!

Hatsune Miku: Memorial Dress Ver. 1/7 Scale

The star of the show was by far the Hatsune Miku: Memorial Dress Ver. scale. First seen as an unpainted prototype at Winter WonFes 2019, it stunned everyone. And now we’ve finally got a painted version!

Now that we have a painted version, fans are realizing all of the details and song references in the design: Especially in Miku’s twintails.

Luo Tianyi: Lemon Ver. 1/8 Scale

First announced in February 2018, this figure became an instant hit before news on it went silent. Thankfully we’ve finally got news and amazing news at that: There’s a painted prototype and a release date!

The figure will release in May 2020 and will cost fans ¥13,704

Hatsune Miku The First Dream Ver. 1/8 Scale

The album ” 初梦 ” (The First Dream) by Mikai Music is super popular for a reason! And now the album art is getting the special treatment of becoming a scale figure! While the price and release date are still TBA, many fans can’t wait to add this to their collection.

figma Hatsune Miku V4 Chinese Ver.

Miku V4 Chinese is a fan favorite design. Her Nendoroid and scale figure were both met with lots of love so it only makes sense to complete the GSC trifecta with a figma!

Racing Miku 2019 Thailand Ver.

After the announcement of the Thailand design for this year’s Racing Miku, it was only a matter of time before a scale figure was announced. And now we finally have confirmation! Hopefully we’ll be able to see an unpainted prototype by Summer WonFes! (Or if we’re really lucky, a painted one)
