There have recently been two new events featuring IA and ONE announced for March! Check them out below!
VILLS Virtual Unit Fes
On March 21, the VTuber-focused variety event VILLS Virtual Unit Fes will take place at Tokyo and Nagoya, and both IA and ONE have been confirmed for the lineup!
IA and ONE will surely be busy in March! If these new performances are anything to go by, the ARIA sisters are gaining more and more influence in the virtual artist realm, and we couldn’t be happier with their success!

The song that they perform is called “Nechusho No!No!” feat. Hatsune Miku and MEIKO, produced by Mitchie M! In the music video, they teach viewers about heat strokes and how to avoid them during the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics as part of the beyond 2020 program. They even do so in the fashion of News 39, something we haven’t seen in more than four years!
Miku and MEIKO are also joined by VTubers YuNi,Fuji Aoi, and Mirai Akari for the news interview portions. What may surprise some viewers is that Ichika Hoshino from the band Leo/need in Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku appears in the video, too! Below, you can see a tweet from the official Project SEKAI twitter account pointing out that very fact!
Tickets to V-SUMMER! Revival! are now on sale through! The virtual idol show from earlier this summer is being brought back for a one-night-only viewing of all four shows back to back!
On October 12, 2019, LanCee accomplished perhaps her biggest feat yet: performing at the 10th anniversary of the Golden Comic Awards and Connection+! The awards are Taiwan’s most prestigious award show for comic artists, and are officially sponsored by the Taiwan Ministry of Culture.

At the awards, LanCee performed an original song called 我筆下的世界 / Wǒ bǐxià de shìjiè (I Draw a Whole World), created just for the occasion. In addition to singing and dancing, LanCee even got to interact with the show’s MC! The performance was even aired on Taiwan Television at 5:00 PM (CST) on October 12. The song and video can now be enjoyed on LanCee’s official YouTube channel as well!
When we first reported on V-Summer, we knew that Hatsune Miku would be at the VR live event as a special guest. However, we now learn that this means Miku will actually be performing in all 12 of the planned performances in the two-day long concert event!

And finally, towards the end of the trailer, it is revealed that the special guest, Hatsune Miku herself, will actually be performing with all twelve of the Vtubers in their respective acts!

Another new trailer is up, reconfirming the lineup for each day of the show! Furthermore, it reveals that anyone who follows the official VARK Twitter account and posts a tweet with the hashtag #Vサマ before August 25 at 11:59 PM (JST) can become one of 100 winners to receive a free poster featuring the key visual!
If you have been following any of her social media accounts, you’ll know that LanCee has been quite busy this past month! When we last wrote about her, her debut video had just been uploaded online, but she has been up to much more since then. Here’s a recap of what you may have missed!
Following her debut video in Chinese, we soon got another one entirely in English! This may have been many people’s first exposure to her English voice, but to those who have played her Decrypt Game Round 2 and/or listened to her Mother’s Day message, the fact that she speaks English so well should not come as a surprise.

Through some social media posts on Twitter and Facebook, though, we started to learn more about her. For instance, few people probably knew that she has a spaceship until she tweeted about it!
It wasn’t just still photos of herself, though. She soon began tweeting and posting videos of herself doing dance and other rehearsals for a then unknown purpose. The activity paid off, too, because she quickly surpassed 100 followers on Twitter!
But still the question remained. Who is LanCee, and what will she be about?
The answers finally came when her creation history video was uploaded! Through it, we got to learn LanCee’s biography, personality, creation process, and much more!
We then got to see some of the topics that she would be making videos for as a VTuber in her follow up topics video! These topics include DJ-ing her favorite music (as DJ LanCee), giving us health tips (as Doctor LanCee?), playing video games, and more, showing us many facets of hers. We even got a video of her playing cmplt like a real VTuber already. She’s always taking suggestions, so be sure to leave comments on the videos!
But then her most exciting video yet came with her debut original song, Cosmos Dreams! In it, LanCee again demonstrates her multi-lingual abilities, as well as her singing and dancing skills. Watch the full video with credits below!

Chunghwa Telecom is holding a competition in which entrants are challenged to create a new virtual idol to serve as a mascot for their HiNet broadband internet service. Entrants must log in to HiNet’s contest page here and submit their character design by June 30, 2019.
Then from July 15 through August 31, the public will be able to vote on their favorite entries through Facebook, and judges selected by HiNet will also be critiquing the designs based on originality and how well they capture the essence of the company. The winning entries will be determined and their designers notified by September 30. Then finally on November 28, the grand prize winner will be revealed and turned into an actual 3D VTuber model, complete with a theme song composed for them.
The contest is being promoted by Taiwanese VTuber, KITSUNEKON, as well as 迷漾 / Mi Yang, the voice provider for UTAU Xia Yu Yao of Voicemith. You can find the contest introduction video below.
